Mr Shaw is more than just your everyday fashion brand, it’s a brand based on mood, feeling, heritage and respect. Karl Shaw set up his graphic design company Silver Birch Creative back in 2018, and has developed his clothing brand with the same ethos in mind. Despite Karl being a good friend of ours, it was such an exciting prospect to get involved with the launch of such a distinctive brand standing for some really great values in the industry. See how we created a bespoke ecommerce site to support his new venture.
Our talented designers and developers were faced with the challenge of creating a website to fully launch the Mr Shaw brand into the online space. It was important that the integrity of the site was in alignment with Mr Shaw’s brand guidelines, what it stands for and the values the brand upholds.
With each and every one of our web projects, the design is key and this was especially important with a fashion brand. We wanted to create a very slick and modern design, that whilst being engaging and on brand, did not appear too busy or cluttered. Allowing the clothing pieces to shine, and provide the true stand out aspect to the website was key. A stand out design feature on the site is the video used on the homepage, which not only shows off the clothing pieces, but the cool and slick vibe Mr Shaw wishes to present to users.
Our talented developers also used some pretty interesting animations and transitions throughout the site to go along with the Mr Shaw brand. Why not take a look?
With the nature of Mr Shaw as an ecommerce store, we decided to use Woocommerce alongside WordPress and have found this is the perfect scalable platform for Mr Shaw currently. So that users can keep up to date with new product launches, special offers and events we also integrated a newsletter signup functionality – so that we can be confident the Mr Shaw brand goes beyond the website.
