New Year, New Recruits

With the new year brings new faces in the office, and so far in 2020 we’ve had the joy of recruiting two new members on the team. Ellamae who joins to help Sarah with Web Design and Luke who’ll be working alongside Lucy and Beth to support them on the Digital Marketing team.

Meet Ellamae

“I studied Art and Design at college then specialising in Graphic Design in the second year. I took an 8-month break living overseas and then it was back to the grind which is when I applied for a 15-month apprenticeship role at a local marketing company in Belper. I completed the apprenticeship and stayed on as a Junior Designer before then going onto another Marketing agency and spending almost two years there before joining the wonderful Frogspark!”

Meet Luke

Luke has joined the team as a digital marketing apprentice. He’s excited to get started and learn all about the ever-changing world of digital marketing. “After doing work experience at a Nottingham based digital marketing agency I fell in love with the role. It was this that led me to wanting to pursue a career in this area.” Outside of the office, you’ll probably find him watching Netflix or at the pub.

What Stood Out About Frogspark?

Ellamae: From working in Marketing agencies around Derby, it’s always been a company name that has stuck in my mind! From things I had seen on all the social channels, it looked like a vibrant, consistently-growing marketing company. And I can confirm it’s all true!

Luke: Definitely the dog, but also the office atmosphere. When I saw the Frogspark vacancy online and saw the people and offices it was so different to anywhere else. It was nicely laid back, very fresh and modern.

1) If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and what would you call it?

Ellamae: He already exists!! My cockapoo called Simba! He does have his own Instagram if anyone’s interested in great content (@simbas_tale)

Luke: Definitely would be an Australian shepherd dog called Chester.

2) Pick 3 words to describe yourself

Ellamae: Positive, Sociable and Creative

Luke: Adventurous, Funny and Artistic

3) Your go-to takeaway?

Ellamae: Chinese all day every day.

Luke: It’s got to be Allenton Kebabs.

4) What’s your favourite series to watch?

Ellamae: Love Island. I live for the drama.

Luke: I love It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

5) What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Ellamae: People talking with their mouth full of food.

Luke: Probably people who are late all the time.
