Website redesignand new ticketing system for Derby's cultural hub
Derby QUAD brings art and film to the people of Derby, providing a cultural hub with a café bar, gallery and venue hire for locals and businesses alike. Their core aim is to provide an inspirational, innovative, supportive and inclusive space for everyone.
With an older website, and limited footfall, QUAD had planned to update their ticketing system alongside a fresh, cutting-edge and responsive website design to give their online presence a much-needed boost. In addition, it was hoped that a more solid, dependable and easier-to-navigate digital experience would provide further opportunities to engage with their target audience.
Following some audience insights from QUAD, along with our own research, we conducted a design and UX audit of their site to identify several CRO opportunities they were missing; actively looking at improvements to signposting, navigation and upselling across the website.
One of the most significant changes involved upgrading their existing ticketing system to integrate the Spektrix API, which we did alongside a CMS move from Drupal to WordPress to improve support, cost-effectiveness and ease-of-use.
The new site design, we think, speaks for itself. Overall, it’s easier to navigate, and provides users with access to venue information, current and upcoming events, and tickets quickly and effectively, with plenty of added design flair. The new ticketing system is easier to use and far more flexible than their previous offering, reducing frustration and speeding up conversions.
All in, it’s a fresh new look and a slicker experience, and one we’re sure will appeal to moviegoers and art lovers alike; the perfect website solution for Derby’s cultural hub.
